  10. My mom was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma two years ago. She had to travel to Sanford University Medical Center (from South Dakota) for treatment. She ended up losing the hearing in one ear entirely and still suffers bouts of severe dizziness. While dealing with all of this, one of her kidneys became blocked and she had to have surgery to repair it. Through all of this, she has never complained and is an inspiration. I'm so very grateful that she's my mother! Thanks!

  14. My mom is such an amazing example to my sister and I. My grandmother (her mother-in-law) has lived with my parents for 15 years. So, for 15 years my mom has cared for her- taking her to dr. appointments, staying with her when she's in the hospital, cooking all of her meals, anything she needs. I hope to have the opportunity to repay her one day!
