Black Dahlia Soap Co {review+giveaway}

Prepare to be wowed by handmade artisan soaps and scrubs made by Black Dahlia Soap Co.

How about juicy grapefruit soap?

Or this bare naked castile hot process soap.  Perfect for sensitive skin or kids!

Yum -- Dutch Apple Pie soap with oatmeal scrubbers!  Smells like yummy cinnamon too, my fave!

I LOVE these Milk Minis with goat and cow milk.  Perfect little guest soaps or a gift basket for a new mom!

Amanda from Black Dahlia Soap Co is always creating and trying out new ideas!  She's currently working on an anti-aging skin care line, but if you can't tell by browsing her shop, she's always mixing up new soaps and will even take custom soap orders!  She also uses "In the Mold Hot Process" as well as cold process, which creates similar bars in less time!  That's not all either!  This busy gal manages/creates for yet another etsy shop!!  Black Dahlia Designs has some pretty gorgeous jewelry and custom pieces -- check it out here!

I was so lucky to test out her Mud-In-Your-Face Dead Sea Mud Mask and oh my, it is wonderful!  First of all, it smells so fresh, and felt great -- like I was seriously at the spa!  After I washed it off, my skin felt super clean and renewed!  And then I read the info about it at Black Dahlia Soap Co:

"Mud from the Dead Sea has been revered for over 2,000 years for its toxin removing, mineral infusing, circulation improving, impurity busting, and skin tightening and renewing awesomeness. As if the mud wasn't good enough (which it most certainly is), I've added a bit of charcoal to dry up oils; green tea to repair environmental effects on your skin; neem oil, which has been used for centuries in traditional Indian medicine to aid in the healing of topical skin disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, rashes, burns and acne; tea tree oil ti fight oil and acne; flax, grapeseed oil and glycerin to moisturize; and a bit of vitamin E to protect and repair sun and wind damage. "

Oh, but it gets better my friends!  Say hello to the Whatcha Call It Scrub Soap bar.  A little slice of wonderful!

It may not look a little harsh, but this pretty little bar packs a punch when it comes to skincare, and is nourishing too!  I'm not an expert, but the Whatcha Call It bar is pure genius.  Combining a super group of skin cleansers it really refreshes, but doesn't strip everything off your face.  Nope, just when you think this looks a little too hardcore, it nourishes your face with essential oils that really make this a complete, acne fighting, dry skin moisturizing bar.

And popular!!  She mixes up these batches, lists them, and poof!  they are sold!  Lucky for all of us, Amanda is offering a super prize pack for readers of The Ivy Twines!  Your Black Dahlia Soap Co prize will include a sample bar of the Whatcha Call It Soap, a regular bar of winner's choice, AND a body butter in the winner's choice! Yay!

  41. Ooh I've been struggling with acne literally half my life and have tried almost everything besides the birth control pill route. The most successful product I've used so far has been a mostly-all-natural cream cleanser that doesn't contain lathering agents, which is what I prefer now - and the Whatcha Call It bar sounds not only similar, but even BETTER and less synthetic than what I'm currently using, so I SO wanna try it!! Thanks for this chance!!
